Import FAQ – Bahasa Indonesia

  • New Zealand Customs Service

  • New Zealand Biosecurity (MPI)

Kategori barang terlarang:

  • Senjata api & senjata berbahaya

  • Narkoba & alat pendukung

  • Obat-obatan tertentu

  • Barang lain yang dilarang oleh NZ Customs

Daftar lengkap:
https://www.customs.govt.nz/travel-to-and-from-new-zealand/prohibited-and-restricted-items

A. Produk makanan & minuman – dengan ketentuan sbb:

  1. Semua produk mengandung babi dilarang masuk New Zealand.

  2. Semua produk mengandung daging sapi dari Indonesia dilarang masuk New Zealand (karena Indonesia belum bebas Foot and Mouth Disease)

  3. Produk yang butuh verifikasi Food Safety NZ—misalnya yang mengandung:

    • Allergen tertentu

    • Unsur hewani

    • Susu atau madu

Silakan hubungi Xcelerate untuk pengecekan kepastian keamanan impor.

B. Barang non-makanan yang diperbolehkan

  • Pakaian, tas, perlengkapan ibu-anak, home décor (tanpa kulit mentah atau kayu tanpa treatment)

  • Mainan & alat olahraga

  • Peralatan rumah tangga

  • Peralatan dapur

4. Berapa total biaya kirim?

Total biaya = A + B + C + D + E

A. Transport Sub-AKL

  • $6.67/kg (termasuk GST)

    Rumus: P × L × T (cm) ÷ 5000

Contoh: Kerupuk 2 kg, volume 5 kg → yang dipakai = 5 kg

B. Biaya jasa persiapan ekspor (jika ada)

  • Label makanan/minuman: $3–5

  • Repack/kardus bersih: $3.5–5

C. Import GST 15%

Perkiraan = 1.2 × declared value (IDR) × 15%, dikonversi ke NZD.

D. Biaya compliance (jika ada)

  • Sampling & inspeksi MPI

  • Treatment fumigasi

  • Tes laboratorium

E. Kurir dalam NZ (jika diperlukan)

  • Menggunakan Post Haste

  • Pick-up gudang gratis 3 hari setelah barang tiba

5. Mengapa ada Import GST 15%?

Semua barang dagangan yang masuk ke New Zealand wajib dikenakan GST 15% sesuai aturan pemerintah.

6. Bagaimana cara kirim barang konsumsi pribadi tapi tetap mengikuti trade terms?

  • Barang harus legal dijual di New Zealand

  • Satu dus = satu jenis barang (warna boleh berbeda)

  • HS Code harus sama dalam satu dus

  • Produk makanan harus memenuhi Import Health Standard (IHS)

  • Wajib beri detail komposisi produk

  • Food Safety NZ memeriksa allergen & ingredients

  • Semua barang harus memenuhi aturan Customs & MPI

7. Mengapa dus harus bersih dan kuat?

Karena NZ memiliki biosecurity yang sangat ketat.
Dus kotor/rusak dapat mencurigakan adanya serangga/tumbuhan berbahaya, dan dus tipis mudah rusak selama perjalanan.

Untuk memenuhi ketentuan:

  • Dokumentasi wajib Customs & MPI

  • Validasi packaging, labeling, dan isi barang

  • Pembuatan consolidated commercial invoice

Import FAQ – English

1. Is this a personal shopping service or a trade-based import service?

Xcelerate operates strictly under trade terms, not as a personal shopping or personal parcel service.

Even if the goods are for personal use, all shipments are treated as commercial goods and must comply with:

  • New Zealand Customs regulations

  • New Zealand Biosecurity / MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) requirements

This ensures the shipment is legally allowed to enter New Zealand as a commercial import.

2. What items are NOT allowed to be sent from Indonesia to New Zealand?

Prohibited items include:

  • Firearms and weapons

  • Illegal drugs and related equipment

  • Certain medicines

  • Any items prohibited by NZ Customs

Full list:
https://www.customs.govt.nz/travel-to-and-from-new-zealand/prohibited-and-restricted-items

Restricted items depend on:

  • Product composition

  • Biosecurity risk

  • Country of origin

  • Processing method

MPI may require inspections, declarations, or treatment for certain goods.

3. What items can be shipped, and what are the restrictions?

Xcelerate International is a registered food and general importer, but only accepts shelf-stable food (not fresh produce).

A. Food & Beverage – EXCEPT the following:

  1. Pork-containing products
    https://www.mpi.govt.nz/.../bringing-meat-stock-and-floss-products-to-nz

  2. Beef-containing products from Indonesia
    (Indonesia is not FMD-free)
    https://www.mpi.govt.nz/.../bringing-meat-stock-and-floss-products-to-nz#fmd

  3. Products requiring Food Safety NZ verification, e.g.:

    • Items containing allergens

    • Animal-derived products

    • Dairy or honey

Contact Xcelerate to check whether your food items are eligible.

B. Non-food items permitted

  • Clothing, bags, hijabs, home décor (no untreated leather or raw wood)

  • Toys & sports equipment

  • Kitchenware

  • Household tools

  • Small wooden items (e.g., pestle/mortar) — may require fumigation

  • Glassware, utensils, silicone molds, etc.

4. How is the total shipping cost calculated?

Total cost = A + B + C + D + E

A. Transport Sub-AKL (Indonesia → Auckland)

  • NZD 6.67/kg (GST included), 15 kg minimum

  • Multiple boxes allowed

  • Chargeable weight = actual weight or volumetric weight (whichever is greater)

Volumetric formula:
(Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 5000

B. Export preparation services (if required)

  • Food labelling: $3–$5

  • Repacking with clean, sturdy boxes: $3.5–$5

C. Import GST 15%

Estimated as:
1.2 × declared value (IDR) × 15%, converted to NZD.

D. Compliance fees (if required)

  • MPI inspection

  • Fumigation / treatment

  • Laboratory testing

E. NZ domestic delivery

  • Courier via Post Haste

  • Free pick-up for 3 days at the Auckland warehouse

5. Why is 15% Import GST charged?

All commercial goods entering New Zealand are legally required to pay 15% GST, based on CIF value (cost + insurance + freight).

6. What are the requirements for goods shipped under trade terms?

Goods must:

  1. Be legal for sale in New Zealand

  2. Follow “one box = one product type” (same HS Code)

  3. Include full product details (especially for food)

  4. Meet all Customs & MPI regulations

  5. For food, comply with Import Health Standards (IHS)

  6. Use proper packaging and clear labelling

7. Why must boxes be clean and strong?

New Zealand has one of the strictest biosecurity systems in the world.
For this reason, all incoming boxes must be:

  • Clean — dirty boxes may trigger concerns about pests, soil, or contamination

  • Undamaged — torn or crushed boxes can raise inspection requirements

  • Structurally strong — weak boxes may collapse during transit, potentially damaging other products or causing delays

If a box is deemed unsuitable, it may require repacking, which can result in additional time and cost.

8. Why must all boxes be opened and photographed?

To comply with Customs & MPI requirements:

  • Contents must be documented

  • Packaging & labelling must be verified

  • A consolidated commercial invoice must be prepared

  • Compliance must match the declarations submitted
